After I went across Russia, Mongolia and China in September 2006 with my friend Ken, I am now trying to work out where to go next. There are so many places, I have set my sight on, so it is not easy to choose. There is Alaska, climbing the Kilimanjaro, visiting Nepal and Mt. Everest, Safari in Africa, Australia and many other places, but they all come in second after the trip I expect to go on somewhere in the  not too distant future: A roundtrip in South America.

 Some time ago I discussed going there with a friend, but it never materialized due to my pretty messy economy. But I am hell bound on making the trip, and here is what I have in mind:

Two months starting in Venezuela and ending up somewhere about Rio de Janeiro. Having looked at the continent for a long time, I have so many places, I would like to go, hence the two months.

Setting out from Venezuela I have to see the Angel Falls. The Angel Falls are the highest water falls in the world, a good 900 meters high, and is a must-see to me, when I get over there. I really do not know much about Venezuela, but I hope to get some advice from people and friends who have been there. Knowing only very little about Colombia, I will have to make my way through there and into Equador, from where I will fly out to the Galapagos Islands. After that it is Peru, in which I have to see Lima, Machu Picchu, the pre-Columbian Inca site, and hopefully catch a glimpse Mount Ubinas, which is one of the most active volcanos on the continent. Moving on from Peru, It is time for Chile, where I would like to see Llullaillaco, the world’s highest volcano that has ever been active.

The rest of my plan for Chile is to enter on a cruise down the coast and into Antarctica, where I hope to catch an icebreaker and set foot on the Antarctica. After Chile, Argentina is next. I hope to see Los Glaciares, Patagonia, the Falkland Islands and Buenos Aires and hopefully a lot more. Crossing in to Brazil, the Iguazu water falls are a must-see, and from there I will travel east toward Rio de Janeiro.

If anyone has something they think I should see along this route, please feel free to share it with me, because I would obviously like to see as much as possible, and at this point of time I simply do not know enough about this great continent.

After a hard fought match against Janko Tipsarevic in the third round of the Australian Open, Roger Federer (seeded 1) eased through to the quarter finals after beating Tomas Berdych (13) in three strait sets, 6-4, 7-6 (9-7), 6-3, in the fourth round.

To Federer the relatively quick match must have been a relief after the five sets against Tipsarevic, and Federer will have restored most of his strength again in time to face James Blake (12), the american, who disposed of the Croat Marin Cilic in three sets.

For the first time in many months, Federer is under pressure to keep his status as world number one, and if he does not reach the semi finals, Nadal could overtake him by winning the tournament, and therefore the Swiss will see to it that Blake’s adventure ends as quickly as possible. The ultimate tennis star of the recent 5 years usually responds well to pressure, and it will take a major effort by Blake to beat Federer. The winner of their quarter final will be looking to play either Novak Djokovic or David Ferrer, who battle it out for the second spot in that semi final.

Today it has been announced that Danish International Leon Andreasen, 24, has signed for Fulham. According to various news papers, the price for the talented Dane is £3 mil, which is three times as much as Werder Bremen paid for his sevices two and a half years ago, when he arrived from highly regarded Danish club Aarhus Gymnastik Forening (AGF), where he was their most praised asset and a result of the club’s highly regarded youth academy.

Leon Andreasen will be joining Fulham, who are currently struggling to find a way out of the dreadful land of relegation. With a number of poor results and the upcoming match home against the current first runners up for the title, Arsenal, Fulham’s season looks to be in dire straits, which appears to be the reason for Fulham’s activity in the ongoing transfer window. Usually January is a window of opportunity mostly for the smaller clubs, because “the big 4″ can rarely find names big enough, who are not cup-tied at this point of the season. Of course Chelsea and Liverpool, in their panic like attempt to remain challengers for the title, are on course to prove this theory wrong, but overall the tendency is clear, and Fulham have followed it quite well with a number of signings already. In addition to  Leon Andreasen, Fulham have also today recruited the services of Brede Hangeland, 26, from FC Copenhagen (fee undiscl.). The Norwegian defender is brought in to bolster a defense that has looked a mess all season.

Fredag d. 18. januar blev jeg indehaver af min første blog. I et forsøg på at udforske Internettets mange muligheder og for at opgradere mine computer-kompetencer, besluttede jeg mig for at lade mig opsluge af muligheden, da Jonas J. Sørensen introducerede mig for dette indholdsrige og lettilgængelige program – så tak for det Jonas.

Mit primære formål med bloggen er at lære, hvordan bloggeriet fungerer, fordi det kan vise sig nødvendigt at kunne for mig. Blog-indholdet bliver sikkert blandet med forkærlighed for sport, da det er min primære fritidsinteresse. Men mon ikke jeg finder plads til andre emner.

And btw, from now on my posts will primarily be in English, since I have to keep my “other language” up to speed.
